Following two up-tempo & pop punk songs called ‘Keep Going” & OMG‘) released in 2022, Atlas for Home are back in 2023 with the soft & angry emo-ballad ‘Stay the Same’. A 3 minutes ride inspired by bands such as Brand New & Gleemer. A track which incorporates elements from shoegaze to indie rock and post-hardcore.
This song is about the daily quest for reality, honesty, pureness, in a world where everything is more fake, digital, disconnected.
Atlas for Home on Stay the Same : ‘Stay the Same is a soft/down tempo song we created and recorded a while ago. It is about being spontaneous and real in a disconnected world. We never knew when was the perfect moment to release it so we decided a few weeks ago that now is the perfect moment as we feel like we need to do what is being told in this song. It’s kind of a fragile song, more shoegaze/post hardcore, types of music we also like.’
Band Statement: “Too Loud Records have had a big impact on the sound of Dead Pollys as they released “Strummerland” in 2019. It was well recieved and the cooperation was great, so Dead Pollys have decided to continue the cooperation in 2023. They will follow suite with the album “Truth of Tomorrow”. With the new drummer Martin Hällgren and guitarist Clabbe Fredriksson the band is iterating. The album is a bit faster and harder. Most of the songs are new, but a couple of them is unreleased and re-recorded material from 2015 when they made their U.S tour together with Down By Law.”
