(album review)HORRORSCOPES-“Batkin”

Time for some horrorpunk again! Horrorscopes were formed in 2016.and are coming from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.

This zine and I have had our share of good and band and mediocre horrorpunk bands, some being plain clones, some being original and great proving that horrorpunk is a small but great scene made of talented individuals and all of us have some nerdish and freakish line in ourselves but we are proud of it. This album is a strong work made of 8 excellent melodic songs with guts. blood and necrodarkromantic themes. Production is excellent and the guitars and bass are just the way I like them to be. Drumming is tight and the band proves they can play. One more thing that is important in horrorpunk are the vocals and back vocals. This band has great screaming but melodic vocals, with great and harmonised backing vocals to make it stronger. I hate comparisons but they remind me a lot of Japanese legends Blitzkid though not so melodic and the lyrics are sung great minding the fact that English is not the bands native speaking language. Highlight songs: “Dead Love”;”With Your Ghost”.
