(record review)THE BLOODY EARTH-“Inevitable”(Miner Recordings)

The Bloody Earth are the first doom death metal band from Serbia, area of the town called Niš. Founded in 1995., they now have more than two decades of experience in the underground metal scene.

The quintet has a new album called “Inevitable” and it is out on Miner Recordings.

The album consists of 6 songs that are pretty long, the shortest one being just under nine minutes. The Bloody Earth play funeral doom death metal, meaning slow and rolling gloomy riffs, guttural death metal like vocals, topped with keyboards and some atmospheric parts to add some more darkness into the whole. The lyrics are in English language and I think that with this album band wanted to show inevitability of end, that all that lives must also die. Although the music is dark, gloomy and hopeless, I somehow got the feeling after the album ended, that I must live my life the best I can, because there is no second chance, there is only death and decay at the end. So, I am somewhat happy after I listened to the music of The Bloody Earth. This is quality death doom, so go get the album.
